The Operations Director plays a key role in upholding these values by fostering a structured, team-focused atmosphere that allows players and coaching staff to concentrate on skill development, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with fellow board members and coaching staff to enhance operational efficiency and streamline decision-making processes.
• Assist with tournament scheduling and documentation logistics.
• Contribute to developing and implementing strategic initiatives that align with the organization’s mission.
• Attend and actively participate in board meetings, offering valuable insights and suggestions to improve organizational effectiveness.
• Support fundraising efforts, partnerships, and community outreach as needed.

Grants Director (Volunteer Role)
The Grant Director is a collaborative team player who plays a vital role in securing and managing funding opportunities that sustain and grow the DMV Destroyers. This individual makes an immediate impact by identifying, securing, and overseeing grants that support our programs and operations. Working closely with leadership, external funding agencies, and community partners, the Grant Director helps ensure that young athletes have the resources they need to thrive.

The Grant Director directly contributes to this mission by securing essential funding that enables our athletes to develop leadership, resilience, and teamwork while competing at a high level.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify potential grant opportunities that align with the team's goals and mission, maintaining an up-to-date database of funding sources.
• Prepare, write, tailor, and submit compelling grant proposals that communicate the team’s needs, objectives, and impact.
• Oversee the tracking and management of awarded grants, ensuring compliance and proper fund utilization.
• Cultivate relationships with grantors, sponsors, and community partners, effectively sharing the team’s vision and successes to encourage ongoing support.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is in place for grant applications, reporting, and audits.
• Act as an ambassador for the DMV Destroyers by promoting our mission, values, and achievements to the broader community and potential funding partners.
